Overview
This programme has been developed to give practicing and potential Complaints Investigating Officers an opportunity to develop and improve their skills in investigating, interviewing, recording findings, and in report writing.
It also enables practicing Investigating Officers to share their experiences, methods and examples of best practice in investigation procedures with other practicing and potential Investigating Officers.
It’s aim is to develop a thorough, consistent, fair and effective approach to Investigations throughout the Organisation.
Course Content
During this course we will look at some of the issues involved in investigating complaints, and also look at some of the skills needed in order to investigate complaints in an effective manner.
Objectives:
· To be aware of your organisation’s disciplinary investigation procedure
· To discuss methods used to plan an effective investigation
· To practice communication, counselling and investigation skills relevant for conducting an investigation
· To discuss methods of analysing evidence from various sources and ways of reaching appropriate conclusions and making relevant recommendations
· To review methods of presenting the findings of an investigation in an appropriate reporting format
Course Fees
The cost of this course is £125.00 + VAT per person for individuals and £600.00 + VAT for in-house training for up to 12 delegates.
