Electricity & Gas Awareness
Duration - Half Day
Overview
No employer would wish to expose employees to electric/gas hazards as it can be, and often is, fatal. Unfortunately, practically all workplaces make use of electricity and gas for some purpose, meaning that the risk of death or injury is ever-present.
Reducing this risk is a challenge because accidents involving electricity and gas often result from a casual attitude brought about by familiarity with them as a power source, or simply a failure to appreciate the dangers of these hidden killers.
This course can help to reduce the risk of working with electricity and gas by enabling workers to:
-
Understand the serious effects of electricity and gas on the body

Recognise electrical and gas hazards
-
Put in place appropriate safety precautions.
