Overview
CRW Special Projects Ltd is pleased to offer this five day course which will lead to an Edexcel Level 3 BTEC Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) and a HSE Recognised First Aid at Work Instructor/Assessors Award.
On successful completion of the course candidates will be given the full CRW First Aid Training Pack to deliver the following courses:
- HSE 3 Day First Aid at Work
- HSE 2 Day First Aid at Work Refresher
- HSE 1 Day Emergency First Aid at Work
- Emergency First Aid
CRW Special Projects Limited is a HSE Approved Centre and successful candidates will be able to deliver the above courses by registering with us free of charge. Certification fees will apply.
Course Content
Edexcel Level 3 BTEC Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS)
The Lifelong Learning UK recognises this as the minimum requirement for those wishing to deliver post 16 education.

This course is recognised as a 60 hour programme, with approximately 30 hours of pre-course study and 30 hours of learning provided during the course.
HSE First Aid Instructor/Assessors Award & HSE FAW Certificate
This part of the course is designed to familiarise candidates with the CRW Training Pack and each of the courses in it.
Instruction and recommendations will be given on how to deliver and assess the HSE 4 Day First Aid at Work (FAW) programme.
This will include
- Step by step familiarisation with the course delivery
- How to register, assess, and complete paperwork for all courses
- An understanding of CRW Special Projects Ltd policies and procedures
- What equipment is required to deliver First Aid Training (and how to source it)
- Advise on how to find work as a First Aid Instructor
- Personal assessment for HSE FAW Certificate valid for 3 years

Course Fees
