Overview

CRW Special Projects Limited has designed these combined courses specifically to provide the skills and qualifications to become a Security Industry Trainer.

Upon successful completion of the programme candidates will have the required qualifications to deliver "Licence to practice" Security Training (With required experience).

Module 1 - Edexcel Level 3 BTEC Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS)

Duration – 3 Days

This qualification is recognised by the SIA as a minimum requirement for those wishing to deliver SIA Approved training. The Lifelong Learning UK also recognises this as the minimum requirement for those wishing to deliver post 16 education.

This course is recognised as a 60 hour programme, with approximately 30 hours of pre-course study and 30 hours of learning provided during the course.

Module 2 - Edexcel Level 3 BTEC Award in the Delivery of Conflict Management Training

Duration – 3 Days

The Edexcel Level 3 BTEC Award in the Delivery of Conflict Management Training relates to the Security Industry Authority specification for Conflict Management Trainers.

This programme is designed to provide:

• Training for those working in the security sector or similar industries who have a responsibility to provide conflict management training to others
• Opportunities for personnel who train in the security sector or similar industries to achieve a nationally recognised Level 3 vocationally-specific qualification
• The knowledge, understanding and skills that learners need to provide effective conflict management training
• Opportunities for learners to focus on the development of the major key skills and the wider key skills in a security and conflict management context, such as improving own learning and performance, working with others and problem solving
• Opportunities for learners to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attitudes that are essential for successful performance in a training environment.

This is a 60 hour qualification consisting of pre course study and a 2 Day tutor led programme.

Module 3 -  EDI Level 3 Physical Intervention Instructors Award

Duration – 5 Days

This programme is intended for trainers who want to deliver physical intervention training within the Level 2 Award in Door Supervision. It covers the knowledge and understanding of the areas that are relevant to the role of a trainer delivering Physical Intervention.

On successful completion of the course candidates will be given the full CRW/Elite Training Pack.

This pack is provided under a FREE Licence, which will enable you to deliver the Level 2 Physical Intervention Skills for the Private Security Industry programme through any of the SIA Recognised Awarding Bodies.

Course Content

By the end of the programme candidates will be able to:

• Assess the training environment to reduce risks in preparation for physical  intervention training
• Safely and effectively manage the learning environment for physical intervention skills
• Deliver instruction in physical intervention skills
• Assess physical intervention skills

Course Fees

PTLLS and DCMT - £750 + VAT. This includes all certification, lunch and refreshments during the course.

PTLLS and DCMT and Physical Intervention - £1350 + VAT.  This includes all certification, lunch and refreshments during the course.
